The new themed routes offer diverse experiences for visitors to explore lesser-known Great Wall sections. They include a tour of the ancient Mentougou village, a night tour at the Yanqing section, and a ring lake tour at the General's Pass section.
In addition to the new tour routes, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism also launched a dedicated Great Wall tours section on the Amap app, providing comprehensive visitor information and recommendations.
To further promote the Great Wall's cultural heritage, the bureau has collaborated with travel agencies like Ctrip and CTS Tourism to develop relic-themed tour products.
Next Wednesday, the bureau will organize a hiking event for online influencers and travel agency representatives along the Juyongguan section, offering a chance to experience the landmark's beauty and history.
Also launched was the 2024 Beijing Great Wall Cultural and Creative Products Competition, featuring physical products and creative designs themed around the Great Wall. The competition aims to blend cultural elements with creative designs, while also looking for entries that could be successfully marketed and sold.
