Approximately 170 guests attended the event both online and offline, including officials from China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, along with winners of the 2023 program.

The 2023 program, themed "My Dream Cities in China," received 361 entries from 31 countries. Following a selection process involving expert reviewers and public voting, 30 "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" from 27 countries and 12 online popularity representatives were chosen.

Li Bin, vice chairwoman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and CSCLF chairperson, presented certificates to the ambassadors and encouraged them to continue building bridges of friendship between young people from different countries.

During the event, five "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" shared their experiences of learning and promoting Chinese culture: Li Cheng from China, Alexander Camilleri from Australia, Ivanitskaya Dominika from Belarus, Nayeli García from Peru, and Perera Oshan from Sri Lanka.

Dominika's winning work focused on Beijing. She praised the city's ability to blend history with modern civilization, and noted that despite different educational backgrounds, children from various countries could communicate without barriers.

The event also unveiled the theme of next year's "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" program: "My Favorite Chinese Food."

The "Junior Cultural Ambassador" program was launched by the CSCLF in 2021 to promote cultural exchange and mutual learning among young people in China and abroad.
