The main event of the Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) 2024 will be held from July 2 to 5 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Themed on "Opening Up a New Era of Digital Intelligence and Sharing a New Digital Future", this year's GDEC consists of an opening ceremony, a main forum, and six high-level forums, alongside the three brand activities of Beijing Digital Economy Experiencing Week, Digital Night, and Results Announcement Conference, as well as a series of subforums and supplementary activities. Under a "1+6+3+N" organizational framework, it will showcase the Digital China and Beijing Practices solutions. The GDEC has widely invited top-tier scholars, business leaders, and representatives from think tanks and professional media organizations to attend, at which a number cutting-edge achievements of digital technologies and application scenarios will be released. Participants will conduct in-depth discussions on global digital governance rules, artificial intelligence and other hot issue, so as to promote international cooperation in the digital economy.

The "circle of friends" of the Global Digital Economy Partner City Cooperation Initiative continues to expand.

Based on the achievements of last year, the Global Digital Economy Partner City Cooperation Initiative will introduce more partner cities, with its "circle of friends" constantly expanding and its role as an intercity cooperation platform becoming increasingly prominent.

This year's GDEC will give better play to its role as an international platform in line with the deployments of the State Council of China for supporting Beijing's comprehensive role in deepening and expanding the opening up of service industries. It will focus on promoting participation in the construction of international digital governance systems such as the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, deepening cooperation between global digital economy partner cities, unleashing the in-depth complementary role with the Beijing Initiative for "Belt and Road" International Cooperation in the Digital Economy, consolidating and expanding the circle of friends of global digital economy partner cities, and iteratively enhancing the capacity of the 2024 Global Digital Economy Partner City Cooperation Initiative. The results of the initiative and the achievements in expanding the circle of friends will be displayed at the conference.

The GDEC will coordinate participants from both home and abroad to jointly create the Beijing Digital Economy Enterprise Overseas Innovation Service Base.

The Beijing Digital Economy Enterprise Overseas Innovation Service Base is the city's first government-backed digital ecological innovation service base built under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and the support of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. The establishment of the base is another milestone project in building the capital into a global digital economy benchmark city, which demonstrates Beijing's leading position and continuous innovation in global digital economy governance, and will become an important window and platform for digital economy enterprises to "go global" and "bring in". Relying on the base, Beijing will further create a Digital Silk Road economic cooperation pilot zone and build a new hub for international innovation cooperation along the Belt and Road in the field of digital economy.

The 2024 Digital Night uses AI technologies to present a number of characteristic products combining digitalization and intelligence, thus brining you an audio-visual feast integrating technology and art.
