Li Lin, a man from Fujian Province now settled in Guilin, spent 100 thousand yuan (around 15 thousand USD) to build his own touring car, and spent 3 years traveling with his wife and daughter.

Li used to be a businessman and owned a chain of shoe shops which provided financial support for their trip.
Starting in 2012, Li and his family spent 3 years on the road. They have been to 10 provinces in southern China and one municipality city--- Shanghai.
The main reason that Li started his trip was for his daughter. Li intended to provide his daughter a wider space in the car. In 2015, he stopped the trip and came back to Guilin due to his daughter--- it was time for her to go to school.
